Confetti Wine Fest is a weekend filled with meetings with winemakers. During these gatherings, you'll have the opportunity to discover not only new wines but also gastro gems of Krakow.

Before the Sunday wine fair at Stara Zajezdnia we invite you to satellite events at the coolest venues in Krakow.

Meet the winemakers: Horst Hummel

 

This event will have a laid-back, informal format – no tickets, no set menu. Just good wine and good food in a relaxed setting.

Horst Hummel, a winemaker from Villány, Hungary, will be there in person, pouring his wines, sharing stories about his work, and chatting with guests around the table.

The kitchen will be serving up their well-loved molam-style Thai classics, bold and full of flavor.
 

As always, 50% of the tables will be available for walk-ins – guests are welcome to drop by spontaneously or book in advance.

Valli Unite is more than just a winery – it’s a way of life! This cooperative from Piedmont has been making natural wines for years, working in full harmony with nature. The documentary takes us on a journey through a whole year at Valli Unite – from vineyard work to shared meals and the philosophy behind their wines.

 

There are interviews, stunning visuals, and tons of good energy! Join us for the screening and see how wine with soul is made.

Cider brunch

Fornir is hosting a cozy Cider Brunch in their garden – a laid-back warm-up before the Confetti Festival.

Lukas, the founder of JoyDa Cidre from the Czech Republic, will be there with three of his unique, handcrafted ciders. His project is all about doing things the slow, natural way – from picking apples to bottling, everything is done by hand with no shortcuts or additives.

The brunch will feature seasonal breakfast pairings inspired by Kleparz, and you can drop by anytime between 9:00 and 13:00. It’s a relaxed tasting – sip some cider, hear Lukas talk about his work, and just enjoy the vibe.

The ciders he’s bringing?
🍏 Barrel Blend – aged in barrique barrels, made from three apple varieties
🍏 Silent Ninja – aged on lees in steel tanks
🍇 PacMan – co-fermented with Pinot Noir and Muscat grapes, no sulphites, unfiltered

Evening with Tomáš Režný

Tomáš Režný, a Czech winemaker working biodynamically, will be behind the bar pouring nine of his natural wines. His approach? Let nature lead. His winery’s been organically certified since 2023, and everything is done the slow, honest way: spontaneous fermentation, no added yeasts, no fining or filtering, very little sulfur, and long aging in wooden barrels.

No pumps, no tricks — just gravity and patience. You can taste the connection to the land in every bottle.

Expect an informal vibe, mini tastings, good chats, and the kind of wine that makes you pause for a moment. And if something speaks to you, you’ll be able to take a bottle (or two) home at a nice price.

From 5 to 8 PM, you can just drop by — no pressure, no guest list, just a super relaxed hangout.

Who’s coming? We’ll be joined by some amazing people like Jas Swan, Melanie Kröber, Gregory Leclerc and Anne Paillet – passionate winemakers crafting the natural wines you already love (or are about to fall for!). It’s a perfect moment to not only taste their wines but also chat about their process and the philosophy behind their work.

🍷 How does the tasting work? Simple and casual! At the entrance, you choose your tasting package:

A day full of good vibes and energy exchange with 12 winemakers who will be joining throughout the day to “tune in” – and help you tune in – before Confetti.

These producers from the portfolio of Wine&People will be available during their scheduled wine slots.

You’ll have the chance to taste 12 different wines that will not be featured at the festival itself.

Meet the winemakers: Fabio Ferracane

You'll have the chance to try all the unique natural wines from Ferracane – a small family winery based in Marsala, on the western coast of Sicily – and meet the winemaker himself, Fabio Ferracane.

Working just 7 hectares of vineyards, he grows local Sicilian grapes like Catarratto, Nero d’Avola, and Grillo – as well as some Merlot. A trained oenologist who has worked around the world, including in Australia, Fabio creates wines that blend tradition with innovation. They are made with minimal intervention, sometimes just a touch of sulfites at bottling to protect the wine.

His wines express the energy, character, and individuality of their Mediterranean island origin – rich in aroma and full of vibrant, high-quality fruit.

Come meet Fabio and taste what real Sicilian soul in a bottle feels like!
